C’mon | Panic!, Fun.
Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole.
Falling for forever, wonderfully wandering alone.
What would my head be like, if not for my shoulders.
this perfect song
!!!
It is astonishing how happy Nate’s voice makes me.
alternate career advice for kelly clarkson: just fucking make an album that sounds less like any album you’ve ever put out and more like this spine-tinglingly good seven nation army cover. if you haven’t heard this please do yourself a favor. mostly when i show this to people they’re like “holy shit” (and one time, “it’s funny because kelly clarkson and like nine competent musicians is basically the opposite of the white stripes, but yeah this is pretty great”). i love the way she goes from near-whispering to pretty much screaming in zero seconds. i mean the arrangement is great, and then she just fucking destroys the vocals, and i like it better than anything i’ve ever heard by the white stripes and also almost anything kelly clarkson has ever done. sort of like the katy perry electric feel cover except less “surprisingly unloathsome” and more “legitimately fucking great.”
at least put out a live album. please? pretty please?
holy shit!!!!!!!!!
!!!!
Walking the Dog II— fun.
Absolutely beautiful.
I was unaware of this song’s existence! Thank goodness for fun. Tumblrs, gees.
fun. - It Gets Better 10.1.11 (by BenDoesDesign)
They should really perform this on an acoustic webcast or something, cos I’d love to have a high-quality version of the acoustic.
I have such intense grabby hands right now.
fun. - “Beach Robot”
This is a song fun. improvised at DePaul University on March 6, 2012
Nate had been joking about how if fun. didn’t work out, he’d make crappy reggae music.
beach robot, ur back
How can you not absolutely LOVE this band?!?! I CAN’T VERBALIZE MY FEELINGS.
Does this mean that he did “It Gets Better” (or god, “Stars”) before this???? BECAUSE THAT IS THE CORRECT DISTORTION FILTER MY FRIENDS.
Benson Hedges | fun.
this is my favorite song. ever.
Now I receive a call from my family
And what they started to say
Brought me homeThey think I’m beautiful
They think I’m beautiful
For all my big mistakes
For all my big mistakes
#fucking wonderful music from heaven dipped in buttercream icing
Those are awesome tags. And this is my favorite song off of Aim and Ignite, definitely.
…what am I saying? How can I possibly choose a favorite? I cannot. It is impossible.

to summon Satan you must play Hot Cross Buns on the recorder three times in a row
Fuck bitches, I could play it with my nose.
I actually rocked at recorder, why did everyone hate it so much?
I still have mine. And the booklet that taught you how to play it.
don’t they do that to everyone? they’re like ‘we will expose children to music and thus enrich their lives by having them all simultaneously create a cacaphony that vaguely resembles mary had a little lamb until the sperglords flip out and start hitting people with the recorder, we are such cultural pioneers.’
meanwhile at home my dad was teaching me to play blues guitar. he remade a ukelele into a tiny six-string for me. the two of us would do a duet of ‘mama, you treat your daddy so damn mean; when i ask for water, you gimme gasoline’ until mom cracked up.
but i dunno, maybe there’s some kid somewhere who had their eyes opened to the wonders of music because of that stupid tootlepipe. stranger things have happened.
*raises hand slowly*
I later had an industrious career as the first chair clarinet in our middle school band, and then the clarinet in the high school chamber orchestra (ahahaha, I know). To be honest, though, I was really inspired by the theme song to Diagnosis Murder.

I will never stop listening to Holst’s Jupiter and relating it to the beta kids.
Never.
I once played that for a friend in college, and she asked me which Harry Potter movie it was from.
:(
WHAT
SACRILEGE!
once I saw a comment under a Uranus vid which said “This plus Jupiter is the sex”
and they were not wrong.
Well, I mean, I guess it can only be expected, right? When John Williams dies, Holst is either gonna high-five him or slap him in the face.
#we are singing a holst set of songs in choir
AAAHHH TELL ME MORE AND LET ME JOIN

“Tik Tok” by Ke$ha and “Come Together” by The Beatles mashup
I don’t understand why or how this works, but it does, so I don’t question it. (I totally miss Ke$ha, does that make me a bad person?)
Perfect .gif reaction. (And no! I miss Ke$ha, too. I wonder if there is an album in the works. I know she’s been doing a number of collaborations/covers recently.)
fun. | Out on the Town
I set all my regrets on fire
Cause I know I’ll never take the time
To unpack my missteps and call all of our friends
I figure they would take your side
I make the bed, just not that well
Your name comes up a lot when I talk to my mom
Oh, I think she can tell
So maybe I should put up a fight
I’ll call them back and borrow a box knife
So I can learn to live with all the stupid shit I’ve been doing since ‘99
And I know I could be more clever
And I know I could be more strong
But I’m waiting for the day you come back and say
“Hey, maybe I should change my mind”
I knew there would come a day when all was said and done
Everything I was is everything but gone
All my big mistakes are bouncing off your wall
The bottles never break, the sorrow never comes
So come on let me in, I will be the sun
I will wake you up, I am who I was
Just open up your heart, open up your heart, open up your heart
(And I know I could be more)
Passion Pit - Little Secrets
I cannot believe these assholes are giving a concert WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE from me and I didn’t know in time and can no longer buy tickets.
It Gets Better - fun.
So, let’s talk about how this is the product of when the fun. crew sat down and had a seance for Newfound Glory and Blink 182 at the same time. Because it is.
Additionally, I really want to do a study of all the different ways they use starlight and sunlight and light in general on this album. Because, “when I see stars, that’s all they are,” from “Some Nights” has started to sound less like the confident assertion that it tries (succeeds?) to come across as in the song, and more like a desperate mantra from someone struggling to detach themselves from their own emotions, direction and purpose in the context of the album. Especially when it gets echoed in “Why Am I the One.”
